Where have we been...

That's a good question because we have been crazy busy since my last post and things are FINALLY starting to slow down! We had a GREAT holiday with friends and family and enjoyed all the time that we got to spend with them! I think Iv'e said it before but I am REALLY REALLY bad @ taking pictures anytime there is a special event so we have like 2 photos from Christmas and ZERO from New Year's Eve... I'm bad, I know! I do have lots of pictures of our cute little princess though!! Here's an update in her:

~Copies everything we say(the best she can)
~Knows 5-6 signs and uses them on a regular basis
~Talks and talks ans talks!!!
~She climbs on EVERYTHING she can!
~Right now, she eats and eats then doesn't eat then eats and eats and eats!!!

Ava has become SO much fun and we love EVERY minute that we get to spend with her! We feel like she is THE SMARTEST kid in the world but I'm sure every parent feels that way! I'm gonna keep thinking she's the smartest : )

I know this is a little late, but better late than never... right?!? Our little princess turned 1 on September 1st!! WOW! Time has just gone way too fast! Miss Ava is growing and learning everyday!! 11 months and FIRST haircut!

I can't believe how fast time has flown!! Our little princess will be 1 YEAR OLD in less than a month! It has definitely been a ROLLER COASTER of a year but has been a wonderful one!!

At 11 months, Ava is:

Crawling ALL over the place and QUICKLY!
Now has a total of 3 teeth. 2 on bottom, 1 on top.
Loves eating solid food
Loves to have a nibble of mom and dad's food!
Loves all animals but especially DOGS!!!
Loves splashing mommy while in the bath!

Love Love Loves DANCING! She will dance to ANYTHING!!
Has had her FIRST haircut!

10 months

Our sweet little baby is quickly growing out of her baby stage! I am sad and yet happy at the same time! She is do SO many different things now and she amazes me by how much she really does learn and how quickly she does it!

Ava @ 10 months:

* She can army crawl and man is she FAST!!
* She can push herself up to a seated position from a crawling position
* She loves "grownup" food
* She has 2 teeth with 4 COMING IN!!! (No sleep in this house!)
* She loves to give her baby "kisses"
* She loves little kids
* Says "mama", "dada", and "baby"

to ETERNITY that is!! Greg and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary on May 19th! 4 cars, 2 houses, 1 dog, 1 child, and 4 years later, here we are!! I am so excited to have made it past this mark in our lives and to celebrate so many more with my very best friend :)

To Greg: I love love love you more than anything. I am so grateful that I married my best friend and am able to share this life and the next with you. I love you more and more each day and appreciate all that you do for our family. You are wonderful person who can achieve ANYTHING with your determination and drive. I love you for the husband that you are and for the wonderful father you have become. We have SO much to look forward to and I couldn't imagine spending it with anyone else but you, babe!

We entered Ava into the Miss American Starlet Beauty Pageant on March 19th. It was a fun experience and guess what???.... She was Overall Miss American Starlet and the Prettiest Eyes!! We were so excited for her as were her "Fan Club"!! It was a little long for Miss Ava and she fell asleep half way through the ceremony but was wide awake when she received her crown!! I have truly enjoyed being a mother! The last 6 months of my life have brought every emotion to the surface... happy, sad, joy, frustration, anger, love... you name it, I've seen it! At times, I feels as though this was not my calling in life then more often then not, I step back and take a deep breath and realize this IS my calling in life! I was called to be a mother and there is no greater call in life than being a mother! I read a quote the other day that I just LOVE:
I have learned to rely on my Heavenly Father through my rough times and my good times. I love knowing that my prayers will be answered even if it's the answer I don't want. My faith has increased and my testimony strengthened just through these last 6 months(and through out most of my pregnancy) due to the birth and raising up of my little girl! I know my Heavenly Father loves me because he sent me my little girl to brighten even my darkest day.

Well, it was Ava's first Christmas, though I'm sure it was just another day to her. She was spoiled and Greg and I were spoiled as well!

Ava's Blessing Day

We blessed Ava on December 6th, 2009. Greg gave her a beautiful blessing and all that could attend were. We were so happy to have all our friends and family there to celebrate this special occasion. Ava looked absolutely beautiful! We had a luncheon before her blessing and had her blessing after the normal block program. It was different but it turned out great!

Well, some call them resolutions but for some reason if they are called that, I never follow through! So I'm gonna call them GOALS!!

My first goal is to work out with this lady 3-5 days a week

And once my membership is up @ Fitness, I'd like to sign up here just to change up the routine a little

Well, it's been since November since my last post! I have wanted to blog but have been waiting on pictures to be given to me so I can post them! I am the worst when it comes to taking pictures because I ALWAYS forget my camera! We blessed our little Ava on December 6th. Greg gave her a beautiful blessing. Then from the 7th to the 11th, Bev (mom-in-law) Ava, and I went to visit our favorite family! The McCulloch's! We flew to Spokane where Mel picked us up and took us to her home in Pasco, WA. We had so much fun and really enjoyed spending time with her and handsome little Gavin!
We had a wonderful time during Christmas and New Years! We got the opportunity to visit with all of our family this year and it was very nice! It was Ava's first Christmas but she not a clue!! She just liked to stare at the lights on the tree. All in all, we had a wonderful holiday break and can't wait to do it again next year!

P. S. I promise I will post pictures as soon as I get them!

2 month checkup

Our little Ava sure is growing!

2 month stats:

Weight: 11 lbs. 14 oz... 66%
Height: 23 3/4 in.... 77%
Head Circ.: 14 in.... 18%

So apparently according to the norms, for Ava's height and weight she has a pretty small head! I personally like her small head though :)

Ava's progress:

* She can hold her head up for quite a while now while on her tummy. When held upright, she has pretty good control of her body.
*She smiles all the time!! We LOVE it!!
*She loves to coo and babble or "tell us a story"
*She has discovered her hands and can't stop sucking on them
*She is loving her swing more and more
*On November 5 she slept 6 hours straight which is considered through the night! YAY!!
*She is so good at focusing and following whatever she is focused on.

We love our little girl so much and feel so blessed to be her parents!

Long OVERDUE!!

YAY!! Finally, we got the internet @ our new house and that means I can blog again! Things have been CRAZZZYY busy around the Corrington household but are finally starting to slow down... just a little! New house and new baby, where to start...

Well, on Monday August 31st @ 1pm we closed on our home and weren't able to move in right away because it needed new paint and carpet to make it livable so we thought well a week from when baby is here will give us plenty of time to get it done.(By we I mean Greg:))So that evening around 9, we decide to go get a Redbox movie @ Albertson's. We're standing there and I feel leakage and look down at my pants to see a wet spot... down there. I thought to myself, "maybe there's just some reserve in my bladder and she pushed on it... oops". So I told Greg and he said well do you wanna go home or go get something to eat? Of course a 39 week pregnant woman would say "FOOD!" So we went to Sonic Drive In and grabbed a bite to eat then we were on our way home. Well, as soon as I stood up out of the car a little more leakage came and I thought that this might be my water breaking but I wasn't sure. Went to the bathroom as soon as we were inside and called L&D and asked if its possible that my water could have broken and they said yes and to come up to the hospital. WE WERE HAVING THE BABY!!! My instincts were proven right when I went to change into different pants and a gush of fluid came out! That was an emotion filled moment that Greg and I will never forget.
We proceeded to the hospital and had to stay over night even though I was only dilated 2cm. and 75% eff. because of my water breaking and the risk of infection that comes with that. The nurse gave me cytotec and then asked me to walk around to try and start labor. Around midnight we settled in our room and tried to sleep ;)
That next morning, my doctor came in and started me on pitocin, which made me really sick and not to mention, my contractions were already 1-2 minutes apart but I only dilated to 4cm and would not go any further. So I ordered the epidural so they could up the pitocin but Ava did not like the pitocin and I continued to not dilate any further than 4cm so my doctor decided that it would be best for mom and baby to take Ava via C-Section. I was terrified. My first surgery and first baby!! We went into surgery @ 11:20am and Ava arrived @ 11:43am! She is definitely worth every pain that I felt and every tear that I shed. She is amazing and I am so grateful that my Heavenly Father loves me so much that he would send us our little girl so that we could love her and teach her how he would have us. Her tiny little spirit has brought so much love into our home. We love her so much!!!

This past month has been so busy for us! We have been out of town almost EVERY weekend! This summer, by far, has been the most busy! We we to Boise for the 4th of July to celebrate the holiday with Greg's extended family and some good friends of ours! It was nice to get away and hang out with them! Totally brought my camera with good intentions but no pics were taken :(

The next weekend, we made a trip down to Utah to look for a car. We found one that we wanted and decided we'd come back on Tuesday with money in hand, ready to take home "our" new car! BOY, were we wrong!!! Without going into detail, I'll just say that we came back with just one car... the one we drove down in!! OH WHAT A MESS!!!

This last weekend, Greg, his brothers(minus 1), and his cousins hikes Red fish Lake and Alice Lake! They had a blast but said the mosquitoes were HORRIBLE!! Here are some pictures from that trip.

We got our 3D ultrasound today!! It was so neat to see our little girl! She was quite shy for the first 20 minutes or so. The tech had us walk around to see if we could get her to move her hands from her face. When we got back, she gave us a peek for about 10 minutes then turned her head and covered her face again! My Best Friend

I just wanted to post about someone that is very special to me! He's my best friend and I don't know where I'd be without him. He has so much strength and determination. He will help ANYBODY and always finds opportunities for service...even if he doesn't think of it that way!! He is so compassionate, kind, loving, friendly, and very easy going. He has an infectious smile and an unforgettable laugh! He lights up a room whenever he walks in. He knows just what to say when I've had a bad day! He works so hard to take care of our family and makes sure that we are always taken care of! I never get tired of his jokes or his repeated stories! He makes me laugh so hard that I cry and I love spending every moment with him. He's a wonderful son, brother, cousin, friend, husband, and soon-to-be dad! I love him with all my heart and am so blessed to have married my best friend!

23 weeks and 23 years!

Yesterday was my 23rd Birthday and it just so happens to be that I am 23 weeks pregnant!! I thought it was kinda cool and a little weird at the same time!!
Our little one definitely lets us know she is there! She is turning, kicking, punching, and she may even be training to run a marathon! I read that our baby is supposed to double in size within the next month! It's crazy to think that it took her almost six months to get to a pound and now she's going to double that in a month!?! We are so excited for our little one and feel very blessed that our Heavenly Father trusts us with the life of this tiny miracle! We know that this little girl is already loved so much not only by her parents but by others as well. We are grateful for this little miracle and pray for strength, patience, and wisdom as we journey into the world of parenting!

It's been a while since I've updated but now that things have slowed down a little more, I can give you all the update on our very exciting lives!!

Well, we did it! We FINALLY sold our home and are so excited to moving onto a new adventure in our lives! We didn't get full asking price but it was dang near close enough! We are now just on the hunt for a new place to call home, in Poky if course :)

I finished my last final on Friday and was very relieved after that was over!!! No school til next spring!! SOOOOOO EXCITED to actually take a break from studying and time to enjoy our little baby girl!

I have been feeling her move and kick since April 20th. I have wanted Greg to feel her kick so we can share that experience together! On the night of May 5th, she was really moving and I told Greg to hurry and put his hand on my belly and sure enough she kicked him! It was so neat to share this experience with him!

We are ready for new adventures and a great summer!

I felt our little baby girl finally kick! I was not quite sure what it would feel like and when I would know and it felt like everyone says that it would feel like... a little gas bubble! She kicks and moves quite frequently which, to me is really cool cause I know she's there! I want Greg to feel her kick because it's such a cool/weird feeling!!!

We have been thinking about names and are really stuck on Ava. What do you guys think? Any name suggestions? We were also thinkg that we would like to give her a Hawaiian middle name. We'll see...

I saw the little kit at Scrap N Fanatics and HAD to get it!! I assembled the whole thing myself and this is the finished product! Greg even commented on it, which is rare!!

Here's a picture of our Dylan. We purchased him while we were dating and he is our baby! He got a haircut last Saturday. Over the winter, his hair gets terrible. He looks like he gains 20 lbs. because of his massive fur coat. When he gets a cut, he seems more happy and free!! Anyways, he stayed over with us that night. He likes to lay on the futon while I blog spy. I turned around and snapped this pic then turned back around. About 5 minutes later I heard some scratching and ruffling. I turned around to find that he had "nested" all of the blanket(even off the back of the futon) to make himself a "nest"! He is the cutest dog ever!!!

Greg left @6am this morning to catch his flight to Minnesota! Greg's work is sending him and one other salesman to a window conference. They will be training and learning about these windows while a couple of the others that he went with get SPOILED!! I miss him like crazy already! If you know Greg and me, we do just about EVERYTHING together! I think the longest that we've been apart is like 3 days, 2 nights and that was pretty tough because we were newly married. He will be gone until late late Wednesday. So, while he's enjoying a little bit of sun(he said it was sunny today), we are gettin' hammered by a snow storm...GGRRR! Don't get me wrong, we NEED the moisture, but I am getting cabin fever REAL BAD!!!!! I need some rays for tan-turned white skin!

Our life hasn't been super exciting lately but we have done a few things! Here goes our month of February... On Feb. 6,7, and 8, we made a trip to Utah with our friends for our annual ski trip. I should actually say that they went. We opted out this year because of my continued morning sickness. They went to Snowbird on Saturday and we spent that day with my dad and step mom. We went shopping and then to a movie! That night when our friends got back from the mountain, we drove into SLC and went to the gateway for some dinner and shopping again! It was nice to get away and have a fun weekend. It was much needed!

For Valentine's Day, Greg surprised me with roses, the pregnant willow tree figure, and My Girl(the movie). We then went to Geraldine's to grab a cinnamon roll then off to Idaho Falls to shop! We then went to Ruby River Steakhouse(BEST STEAK EVER!!!) We had fun just enjoying Saturday together! We then went to Yes Man with some of Greg's fam and then we called it a night! I sure am one LUCKY GIRL!!!

And here is the FIRST ultra sound pic. Sorry it's so small but the doc got "it" at a GREAT angle! From the 2nd pic, the doc said not to quote her because it's too early to tell but she said that it could be a BOY! Look carefully @ the 2nd pic and you might be able to tell!

We had our first ultra sound today!! It was so neat because "it" was SSOOO active! It was moving around and kicking it's feet! It was so cool to actually see that there was something in there and to see the little flutter of a heartbeat!! How neat! It was GREAT to share the experience with Greg! He was just as amazed as me at the sight of our little one! The doc told us not to quote her because it's too early to tell but she saw a little something that made her think that it might be a BOY!! Of course, we are going to wait and see for sure what it is on week 17! I will try and post the ultrasound pic. later!

It's time that our bedroom gets some updating! We have had the same decor in the bedroom for 3 years now! Greg mentioned the other day that we needed a change so I am jumping on that one! I have been searching online and have found this cute wall hanging that is made from 3 pieces of 12x12 wooden tiles! I LOVE IT!! I have decided that I want this to be the focus of our room and that we can incorporate reds and creams into the mix but I really love the dark brown and am looking forward to redecorating! Here are a few other things that I was looking at...

My mother-in-law bought these last weekend and I fell in LOVE with them!! I thought that this might look cute in the bedroom as well! I have been searching for comforter sets and have found nothing!! That's my next goal... find a comforter set!!!!!

I love the fact that I am carrying a baby! We are very excited! There is one thing that has put me out... being sick!! I am nauseous after every meal and I have found a couple of things that won't make me sick but for the most part, almost everything is making me ill. It's sort of an experiment to see what will make me sick and what will not... it seems that protein settles well in my tummy so I will usually drink a protein shake with OJ and a banana mixed in. If anyone knows of any other remedies please let me know!! I sure hope that this yucky feeling goes away SOON!!

Yes!! We are expecting! We found out about 2 weeks ago and tried to keep it a secret from the fam until I made it to my first doctors visit but we just couldn't hold it in any longer. We decided to tell my family FIRST since it is the first grandkid/great-grandkid then we told Greg's family. They were all so excited even though it is their 14th grandkid!! Even though I have not been to the doctor being that I am 6 weeks along, my estimated due date is September 6. We are very excited and are looking forward to the next 8-9 months of anticipation and then forever with our little one!!!

Well, school starts next week and I just figured out everything!! It took me about ONE WHOLE SEMESTER but it's all good now! Oh, did I mention that I DISLIKE ISU!! SERIOUSLY!! All they do is give ya the runaround then when you have finally figured things out and you know it's all right, they give you a BIG FALSE SLAP IN THE FACE!!! FREAK!! They are SSOOOOO stinkin' annoying. AARRRGG! I have yet to apply to my program which I get the run around on as well so I sure hope it goes to the right person so that I can get in! WWAAAAAHHHOOOO!! What a ride this has been... can't wait for it to be over!

Our Festivities

It's been a week or so since my last post and since then we have celebrated Christmas! I have a GREAT camera but I forget to take pictures when we have special occasions... dang it!! But anyway, we had such a wonderful holiday even though we were GO GO GO!! We love spending time with both of our families and sharing the joy and spirit of the holiday spirit. We opened presents on Christmas Eve with my Dad, who comes up from Utah, then we head over to the Corrington's for some dollar store BINGO!! On Christmas morning, we open presents together @ our house then we go eat breakfast @ my Mom's house(and we got stuck in the snow on our way up there). We then head to the Corrington's to open presents and then we usually come home and nap then go hang with the Akina's around 5pm for some good Hawaiian food!!!! Even though our holiday was hectic, we loved every minute of it!! I am so greatful for the birth of our Savior and for teachings. I am greatful not olny for this time of year but for every time of year. I am gretful for the opportunity that my Father in Heavan gives me to live my life, love, and make my own choices. I am very blessed ot have a great family, who loves me and supports me thorugh everything. Happy Holidays!

So, since we thought we would be moving before Christmas or like the day after, we decided to not put the tree up this year :( Well... plans changed a little and we probably will not be moving until January and so I kept saying "We need to put a tree up because it doesn't feel like Christmas". Greg took the day off today and surprised me today when I got home from work! He had the tree 95% up and helped him with the rest! He is the GREATEST!! It meant so much to me that he was willing to put it up with only 9 days left til Christmas!

One to go!! I took my 2nd final this morning @7:30am! BTW, those are the worst!! Too early! But I got through it! It was pretty easy because we got to use a sheet of notes, front and back, and my friend Chelsea went into the professors office last week and typed up all of the test questions that were to be on the test, which was totally allowed!! Thanks to her, I had a great sheet of notes!! I have one final on Wednesday that I am able to use my book on so I'm not too worried! Wish me luck!

House NEWS!

We got news on the home on Saratoga that we thought was lost FOREVER!! We received a counter offer from the bank last Friday and they would like us to purchase this AWESOME house if we are still interested!! HECK YES WE ARE!! We now just have to sell our home, which we are a little weary about! We have to jump through a couple of hoops and then we will be able to get the home! At first, it felt GREAT to know that it could be ours but now I feel as though we will not sell our home and be stuck making 2 mortgages~ which I am deathly afraid of!!!!

This semester is by far my easiest! I have 3 of them. 1 online due by Wednesday, 1 Monday that I need 50 points on to get an A (YIPEE!!), and one on Wednesday that I am not worried about because we get to use our book on the test! SHEESH! This semester has flown by! As I get closer to applying to my program, I am more motivated in my classes because I just want to be done with school and working in the field! I also know that Greg wants to get moving on school or starting his own business! His need to succeed also motivates me to get into the program. Speaking of which, I will be applying next month for and praying my little heart out that I will get in! AAAWWW! It's very stressful and I feel that I have worked my butt OFF to get to where I am and I would LOVE to see all of that actually turned into something!

Where did November go? Man, how time flies!~ But we enjoy every minute of it!
Here's an update on what's been going on in our lives... We didn't end up getting the house on Saratoga due to some dishonesty on the sellers part. We found another house on Golden Gate that we were kinda sorta interested in. So after listing pros and cons, we decided to put an offer in on the home. The women selling was asking $124,900 and we offered $120,000. We were expecting a little bit of a compromise... but she wasn't budging. She counter-offered $124,000 and she was keeping her refrigerator. WOW! We were a little taken back by the fact that she was holding her ground on the $124,000. So that was a big fat NOOO! We are looking for a deal and to us that was not a deal considering it only has 362 more square feet that our current home. Neighborhood upgrade.. YES, Home upgrade... Not so much! In the middle of all that, we went to set a closing date with our buyer and the dude BACKS OUT!! Talk about frustrating!!! GGRRRRRR! So our house is back on the market and we are ready to just move out with the next offer that we receive! We are willing to sacrifice our privacy and live with the in-laws, if needed!!! If you know of anyone that is looking for a house, please let me know. We want to SELL FAST!!!

BLACK Friday

WOWIE! Today my sister in law, Jen and I went out shopping @ 4 am this morning! We went to Walmart first and MAN, that was a JOKE! I went there in search of getting a KitchenAid mixer... I found it and happened to be the 9th person in line, and there were only 8!!!!! I stuck around for 45 minutes or so then I decided that I was not getting into a fight over a stupid mixer so I left to get other items we had gone there for. After Walmart, we went to Sears. That was not bad at ALL! I found the mixer that I wnated and they price matched the one @ Walmart sooooo I got the mixer for $130 plus an extra 10% off then I also got a $40 mail in rebate making it... $90!!!! That was my deal of the DAY!! I was so excited!! While I was at Sears, a woman was telling us a story about how she had just left Walmart and how she witnessed a knock down, drag out fight over the same KithenAid Mixer that I was waiting in line for!!! Way to be in the Holiday spirit, right?!?

We did not end up getting the house. The seller had lied about his income to the bank and the bank was not having that. In the world of housing and financing, a foreclosure is WORSE than a bankruptcy. The bank decided to cancel the sale of the home all together and go forward with a foreclosure because the seller was dishonest. We are very frustrated because we waited for SSOO long and in the mean while we could have been looking for something else. Why would someone lie about something like that?

I have so many random things that I want to write about so I will spill a section on each...

I LOVE autumn time! It's my very favorite time of year, next to summer! I love the changing of colors and the cool breezes that float on by. I love the holidays that come with this time of year as well! There are also several birthdays to celebrate at this time as well! The release of TWILIGHT is coming in about a week as well! CAN"T WAIT!! My sis in law and I are going to a TWILIGHT party the Saturday after the premier and are totally stoked!

I have been more drawn to baby things lately... like making stuff for when our little one does arrive and I am not even preggers yet! I can definitely tell that we are ready for a new addition! We are waiting 'til we know where we are going to live first. And speaking of a house, we will find out if they accepted our offer on the 19th of November... 6 days and COUNTING!!!

I feel so blessed to have my sight so that I can see the beauties that Heavenly Father has created so that we may enjoy them. What a blessing it is to know that my Heavenly Father loves me and cares for me so much. I am grateful for a WONDERFUL husband who will always honor his priesthood and shows his love for me always.

Well, I was informed that we will now have to wait until November 19th to get a FINAL decision!!! We have been waiting for FOREVER!! It's sooooooo FRUSTRATING! Why can't the stinkin' banks make up their minds!!! That's EXACTLY 16 days away and trust me I will be counting... On a brighter note, I voted!!

Anticipation

Greg and I can hardly wait for our answer on "the house"!!! We are supposed to hear a "YES" or a counteroffer no later than Tuesday evening and the anticipation is KILLING us! We just want to know, but we know that patience will pay off! Some other good news, I got a RAISE from the architect! It was a very generous raise and it was very kind of him to do that considering that I only work like 7-10 hours a week and the fact that he also pays my health insurance premium! That same day, Rehab Authority called back and offered me my job back! (For those of you who don't know, I got layed off from the physical therapy office about a month ago because they we slowing down!) But anywho, they offered me my job back with the same schedule!!
That day was a great day and needless to say WE ARE TRULY BLESSED!! I am so grateful for the blessings that we receive daily and for the guidance that He gives us.

We FINALLY sold our house this weekend!!!!! We put it on the market Thursday morning and had an offer that night! We contimplated the offer then decided to counter offer... that was a scary move because if he said "NO" we would have had to start all over. We counter offered on Friday and he ACCEPTED saturday!!! We are so excited and it almost seems surreal! We are now just waiting to hear back from the bank.. a yes or a no!! I will for sure keep you posted but YAY!! : )

is now listed with a Realtor! We had no luck with the "For sale by owner" option and just finally decided that if the bank does accept our offer, we need to have our house sold!! It's a relief to know that we will not have to worry about finding a buyer and all that jazz but at the same time it's scary and feels like it's a BIG leap for us but I have faith that it will all work out how its supposed to.

This past week has been totally stressful! So stressful that I have been getting stress headaches! Well, today is Friday and at least half of my stress is gone. It was SCHOOL! I had a BIG test today and had studied for what seemed like FOREVER! I thought that I did really well so all of that studying paid off! The other half of my stress is trying to sell my house, getting people into look at it, and keeping it CLEAN!!! I tried to study and clean yesterday and it seemed to work but I woudn't recommend it if you don't have to. But after all of that, it's the weekend and time for some relaxation. I have decided this weekend is going to be a care free weekend and that I am just going to take it EASY!

We have done a few updates but there's still room for some improvements. We are doing a "For sale by owner" sort of deal but we are having a Realtor do the paperwork. The Ranch 9/19-9/21

So, we just ended our summer at a ranch in Cow Creek, Idaho! It's about 10 miles from Afton, Wyoming. We went with Ted and Bev, Casey, Annalisa, and their kids and Melanie and John! We had SSOOOO much fun just hangin' out and not really having any plans. Here are some pictures from the trip :)

We were able to bring up some four wheelers (thanks Jen!) Greg and I took a ride up into the beautiful canyon Saturday morning!

We got our ride in just in time! The clouds started rollin' in and it started raining 10 minutes after we got back.

Melanie is such a great aunt! she brought crafts for the kids to do so they wouldn't be bored. Greg got in on the craft action and made us some pretty "HOT" glasses!
The little ones had their glasses on too! They were so cute! We would say silly face or mean face and they would instantly pull it!! Too CUTE!

We had a very fun and relaxed weekend, to say the least! I hope that the rest of the family can make it up next time.

Our Story

Where to start?!? Well, Greg and I met in September 2004 in the most romantic place... a frat kegger. HAHAHAHA!!! I remember it like it was yesterday. I was standing alone at this party watching the doofus that I had come with show off his "cool" street bike then out of the corner of my eye I see someone walking up to me. It was Greg. He made some comment to start the conversation and I agreed and we both laughed. He introduced himself and stuck out his hand, I introduced myself and gladly accecpted his friendly handshake. From there, we started talking and just as his friends were starting to ditch him, he asked if I had a boyfriend... I told him that I did. He bowed his head and said "Well, it was nice to meet you anyways." I thought to myself, it can't hurt to be his friend... then I said outloud "We can be friends." He gladly accepted and got my phone number. The rest is history. He is the most kind, loving, generous, helpful, caring person that I had ever met. He is also tons of fun to be around and I love that about him. We started "officially" dating February 2005 and he gave me a promise ring on my birthday, May 12, 2005. We were married on May 19, 2006 in the Laie, Hawaii Temple. I love my life and would not trade it for anything!
